In December 2016, Lauren Bunyan Gould, the owner, and founder of The CheerMania All-stars passed away unexpectedly. Lauren was an inspiration to everyone she met. Outside of the Mania Training Facility, Lauren was a Varsity Cheerleading Coach at North Rockland High School and won a National Championship in Dallas, TX, numerous Section 1 and Westchester County Center Grand Championships. She was also awarded Section 1 “Coach of the Year” numerous times during her career. As the owner of Mania Training Facility, Coach Lauren led numerous teams that received national championship wins and top 3 placements. Her passing was not just felt by our Mania family but the entire surrounding cheerleading community, by everyone in the field who knew her.
Lauren lived by the belief – Don’t dream your life. Live your dream. This motto is one that everyone at Mania holds true as they work to their greatest potential. A potential Lauren saw in so many of the athletes she inspired each day. It truly was and forever will be her legacy.
Lauren will forever be remembered. As the CheerMania All-Stars gear up for their 16th season and beyond, it has become their collective goal to make sure they always tell her story. Lauren’s legacy lives on as they live their dream and not dream their life. She planted the seeds and now her athletes will continue to grow from everything she inspired. We know that she is looking down at them and smiling proudly.
